12/29/09 – Welcome Back :)

Ah, Christmas and Chanukah have passed! Not that it wasn’t fun. It’s always fun to celebrate the new season and to share with family and friends. But, I don’t know about you, it’s also a time when I give myself free range on eating any sweets around. So, after a bloated few days I am inspired and ready to get eating clean and training hard again. I hope you all are too!

Here’s tomorrow’s deal:

Pull ups / Speed Pull ups

Then, as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:

Run 200m

15 Dips

Run 200m

15 Bulgarian Split Squats (each side)

Run 200m

15 Prone Legs/Arms Raise

Post Strength/Skill performance and number of rounds completed to comments.

And, check out this guy. Inspiring insights. Cultivating awareness of our own free will through present-minded physical movement. I like it. Don’t merely go through the motions in your workouts. Understand that you control your body and seek to develop mastery of it’s movements. I think this is how conscious beings ought to approach exercise.

  1. Thanks for coming out guys. I.E. Meyy and Garrett.

    The stats:

    Meyy – about 2-3 consistent speed chins Garrett – about 4-5 Mike (yeah, me) – about 5 – 6

    * The rep range should be about 50% of the number you are capable of.

On the Workout – As many rounds as possible in 17 min.

    Meyy 1 1/2 rnds, Garrett 2 rnds + 200m + dips, Mike 2 rnds + dips + 2nd 200m

  2. Mikey, thanks for posting those videos of Daniel Ilabaca – really inspirational. What he says in the first film is so simple and profound.
